Please tell us about Bee Strong Honey LLC.

Amber J: Bee Strong Honey is something that I never thought would become a reality. This is a company that focuses on bringing out the healing properties of raw honey and herbs to improve our quality of life. I also wanted to educate people who have a fear of bees because they are actually extraordinary creatures that do so much for our environment. Being a business that not only produces but educates is what we are striving for.

What do you enjoy most about running a business?

Amber J: I enjoy the freedom of choice. I can change how I want things done as I see them. I can create different products and recipes. I no longer have to put limitations on my creativity. I enjoy learning from my mistakes! I know that might seem weird but, there are so many learning curves when it comes to harvesting honey and handling beehives with care. Even though there is a lot of room for mistakes, there is even more room for progress and growth.

What have been some challenges that you overcame which made you a better entrepreneur?

Amber J: One of the biggest challenges was warding off the ignorance of other people. Ignorance is destructive and what you say to a person and the delivery of those words is important. I had to really pray about who I speak to concerning my business and when I learned that not everything and everyone warrants conversation, whether they’re family or not, I became a focused entrepreneur.

How do you balance being a mom and a businesswoman?

Amber J: Being a beekeeper has its benefits. One of them is that bees do not require a lot of hands-on care. Now, the work can be tedious around harvest time but overall, I can fashion my life around motherhood. I currently homeschool my son so having a set schedule in place makes it easier for me to insert work time, downtime, and playtime. The rhythm and routine of my life may change here and there but I always ensure that whatever I do is meeting the needs of my son.

What are you currently working on?

Amber J: I’m working on my summer product launch! I’m sifting through a few recipes that focus on improving our breathing because allergy season is always crazy. I also believe that there may be something that can go into your favorite summer beverage!

Are you currently seeking assistance with your business at this time? If so, what kind?

Amber J: So, this past month I have been working on recovering my hive numbers due to theft and vandalism of a community garden I was a part of. I solicit your prayers during this process because I am really trusting God that I will meet and exceed all of my deadline expectations.

What else would you like our readers to know about you and the work that you do?

Amber J: I do not just consider Bee Strong Honey a business but also a ministry. Honey is one of the few things on this earth that does not expire and neither do the promises of God. I want people to see Jesus in and through every product, I put out even down to the classes that we will be offering in the future. I am an imperfect person serving a perfect God and he is keeping me through all of this!

How can we keep up to date with all you have going on?

Amber J: Everyone can follow me on Instagram at Bee Strong Honey, also the announcement for our website launch!
