The Founders of Black Women Talk Tech invites you to kick off your Juneteenth Weekend June 15-17 with 2,000 founders at the Brooklyn Navy Yard for the Annual Roadmap to Billions Conference.

This is the only annual tech conference created exclusively by Black women founders for Black female founders and their supporters.

The Roadmap to Billions Conference is a conference built from the perspective of women, the goal is to showcase the brilliance of Black women in tech, create a stage for our experiences, foster deep connections, and create real funding opportunities.

Join investors, tech evangelists, and founders who are just starting out and those who have been in the game for years at the largest gathering of black women tech founders in the world.

Our Black Woman Magazine obtained an interview with Esosa Ighodaro-Johnson and Regina Gwynn, Founders of Black Women Talk Tech.

How was the BWTT’s 5th Annual Roadmap to Billions conference? What’s new and on the way with Black Women Talk Tech?

The 5th Roadmap to Billions conference was phenomenal and this year’s conference is happening June 15–17 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which promises to be even better.

With top speakers including keynote speaker Jewel Burks Solomon and Investor partners BLCK VC and Upfront Ventures, in addition to Vaynermedia’s VaynerNFT in our Crypto Corner, we’re delivering expert content from the foremost thought leaders in their respective industries.

We hear that you often attract some renowned sponsors. How does that feel?

In our first 5 years, we have distributed more than $250K to Black Women tech founders who have gone on to receive investments exceeding $29.7M in total. Roadmap to Billions has proven to be not only a safe space for Black founders, but one essential to the building of their networks and scaling companies.

What have been some of the testimonials from some of the startups that have received investments?

More than boasting on the level of sponsors we attract, we take pride in the stories it allows us to tell of founders and professionals finally being seen, invested in, and receiving access to leadership roles within the tech landscape. This year, even more notable sponsors are coming on board to hire and upskill Black talent directly from Roadmap to Billions and fast track them into accelerators and leadership programs.

About Black Women Talk Tech

Black Women Talk Tech (BWTT) was launched after the founders met by chance at a tech conference and shared common ground over the racial disparity they both experienced firsthand in the tech funding world. This collective was started with the mission to identify, support and encourage black women to build the next billion-dollar business.

BWTT’s 5th Annual Roadmap to Billions conference recently took place in NYC and is the only tech conference created by Black female founders for Black female founders and supporters of the community. It showcases the brilliance of Black women building scalable companies while building deep connections and creating real funding opportunities. BWTT is a registered non-profit with regional chapters across the globe, and the conference is now the largest convening of Black female tech entrepreneurs.  The success of the organization has also led to the expansion of Black Men Talk Tech and Black Students Talk Tech, as well as the company’s first acquisition of Black Female Founders (BFF).
