Please tell us about your business and the services you provide.
Lakina Fulks: I am a business/life coach, motivational speaker, realtor and author with several entrepreneur ventures.
What does your business mean to you and your clients?
Lakina Fulks: Business to me means Purpose. It’s what I was called to do. And, I believe the services and help I provide on all of my business platforms comes to aid and grow the potential and purpose of others.
What impact do you want to make in the world as an entrepreneur?
Lakina Fulks: No matter what platform I’m working from, I believe in encouraging people to reach their highest potential. I strive to always motivate and inspire people (especially women) to go to their next level. I believe we never stop growing, learning, or excelling. And I want to see people reach their fullest potential.
How has your experience been so far being a part of the That Girl Tribe?
Lakina Fulks: That Girl Tribe is a circle of women just like me who want to help others grow. To be a part of something that is moving in the same direction with the same heart I have toward business helps me to stay motivated. It is truly inspiring to know that I am not alone in my endeavors to push people in business and purpose.
We would love to hear about your books, what can you tell us about them? How does it feel to be a best-selling author?
Lakina Fulks: I am currently the author of 5 books:
– Why…A Young Girls Search for the Truth
– Dreamer on the Rise (Anthology)
– Gathering the Fragments (Anthology)
– A Buyer’s Guide to Buying a Home
– A Seller’s Guide to Selling Your Home Fast
All of my books are available at lakinafulks.com. One details my personal journey of surviving abuse. I was blessed to be a part of two anthologies that both speak of triumph and perseverance. And I have two books I’ve written on real estate; one is written for home buyers and the other for those trying to sell their home.
What are you most proud of during your entrepreneur journey?
Lakina Fulks: I always wanted to do something where I could be a role model to other women, my whole life plan was to be in medicine, be a doctor. But, life changed, I got pregnant at 16, got married at 17, and then went through a lot of abuse where my self-esteem and self-worth was taken.
At first, I didn’t believe I was good enough because I was with someone who said I was dumb and stupid and incapable of finishing school. But, the faith that had been growing inside me since I was a little girl had me declare, “I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna finish school and be successful.” And I did. And I’m still doing it because of God. My journey as an entrepreneur is all because of Him. It allows me to help others on many platforms. And for that, I am proud of my journey.
What else would you like for our readers to know about your company?
Lakina Fulks: I have many companies, but they all share the same core belief. That every human being has the potential to be great, and I want my platforms (businesses) to help them see that they are!
